PETALING JAYA: Refusing to accept his police summons, a motorcyclist started swearing at law enforcement officers before throwing it away.
The incident on Friday (March 18) eventually led to his arrest after the man refused police orders to comply, said Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid in a statement.
“The man was stopped after a patrol team spotted the motorcyclist acting suspiciously in Kampung Kayu Ara.
“During the inspection, it was found that he did not have the correct licence, which was a B2 class licence.
“He was issued a summons but he threw it away while raising his voice. Advice was given but he continued swearing and shouting, while also insulting the police,” ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said.
The suspect, age 27, works as an assistant manager and will be remanded on Saturday (March 19).
He is being investigated for obstructing a public servant from discharging his duties.
