Sir Keir Starmer has been dealt a fresh blow after the Government's net approval rating dropped to its lowest level to date. New polling by YouGov found that just 13% back Labour's record in power so far.
An overwhelming 69% of respondents said they disapproved, up one point from the week before. It gives the Government a net score of minus 56, which is its lowest since Sir Keir took office in July last year.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's net popularity stands at minus 44, with 24% having a positive view and 68% negative.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is more popular with a net score of minus 29.
Around a third of Britons - 32% - have a favourable opinion of the Brexiteer, while 61% are unfavourable.

Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who is launching a new Left-wing party, has a net favourability score of minus 35, which is five point ahead of Sir Keir.
Some 61% view him unfavourably, compared to 26% who have a positive view of the veteran Left-winger.
YouGov polled 2,016 adults in Great Britain from August 14-15.
