A suspected "machete attack" in Plymouth has led to an estate being locked down by police, with a manhunt underway after a suspected robbery. It happened in the Pike Road area of the Devon city on Sunday (May 12).
There is an initial report that a machete was used during the attack, though this has not been confirmed by Devon and Cornwall Police. The force confirmed a "bladed article" had been used and a person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
An eyewitness told Plymouth Live it happened near a local shop and a police cordon has been put up. The same publication reports a large police presence in the road.
