MELAKA: A bomoh has claimed trial at a Magistrate’s Court here to a charge of outraging the modesty of a 41-year-old woman.
Mohd Raba'ai Parman, 66, entered the plea before magistrate Mohamad Izwan Mohamed Noh on Tuesday (Feb 15).
The accused, also known as “Atok”, had allegedly committed the offence at 9pm on Jan 11 at Taman Rambai Utama here.
He faces a charge under Section 354 of the Penal Code for using force with intent to outrage the modesty of another, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years or a fine, or whipping, upon conviction.
The accused was represented by Senthil Ramu.
Mohd Raba'ai was granted bail of RM3,000, and the court fixed March 28 for next mention.
