KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad (pic) should run for a Parliamentary seat in the upcoming general election, says Puteri Umno chief Datuk Zahidah Zarik Khan.

       She added on Thursday (March 17) that the party should place him in a "higher place" for his sacrifice in Johor.

       She said the Puteri wing is thankful for Hasni as he has placed the party's interests over his own when he made way for a younger candidate to become the Johor Mentri Besar.

       “We should congratulate Datuk Seri Hasni for his sacrifice by announcing the state election despite the risks we might have faced," said Zahidah.

       “This courage is what makes Umno respectable by friends and foes,” she added in her speech before the Puteri wing.

       She added that Puteri Umno also urges Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to consider dissolving Parliament to pave the way for the 15th General Election.
