ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari on Friday said the business community was the biggest stakeholder of the federal capital and it would utilise all available resources to make it beautiful in real terms.
He was speaking at a ceremony held to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ICCI and the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The MoU was signed between Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari on behalf of the ICCI and Mashooq Ali Shah, director sanitation, on behalf of the CDA.
The ICCI president said the chamber would take responsibility of the newly-built washrooms in different markets and would ensure their operation, management and maintenance as per hygienic standards.

He said a nominal fee would be charged for their use, and this amount would be spent on the upgradation and maintenance of the washrooms.
The ICCI will also ensure that janitorial staff was available at each facility wearing proper uniform, he said, adding that the chamber would also build water filtration plants on self-help basis and continue to play its role for the upgradation of the city.
