KUALA LUMPUR: The usage of the MySejahtera app has been vital for Malaysia’s Covid-19 management, and should be maintained, says Khairy Jamaluddin.
The Health Minister said with nearly 97% Covid-19 patients in the country undergoing home quarantine, the MySejahtera app and its home assessment tool function has been very useful for the Ministry.
Other functions such as contact tracing and the Malaysian Vaccine Administration System (MyVAS) have also been vital for the ministry, Khairy added.
“It has been proven that the application has helped ease the ministry’s management of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The Ministry is of the view that there is still a need to continue using MySejahtera, even after the country enters the transition to endemicity phase,” said Khairy, when explaining the MySejahtera issue in the Dewan Negara.
Khairy also said the ministry is prepared to remove the need to conduct MySejahtera check-ins, after monitoring the Covid-19 situation after Malaysia’s reopening on April 1.
