JOHOR BARU: Perikatan Nasional (Perikatan) is fine-tuning its manifesto for the state election and will be announcing it on March 1, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Perikatan chairman said Johor's development, which other states can emulate, will be at the core of the manifesto.
“Our manifesto is on the way and we hope that once it is announced we can double our effort in working extra hard to develop our state, Johor,” he said during the ceremony to announce party candidates, at a resort here on Thursday (Feb 24).
Muhyiddin added the manifesto would also ensure the new state government was a just and strong government that upheld good governance and accountability.
“We wanted to offer the people of Johor a chance to have a transparent government that is committed to fighting corruption,” he said.
When asked about their mentri besar candidate, he said the individual would "likely" be from Bersatu.
“We will announce when the right time comes,” he added.
