GEORGE TOWN: ShopeeFood - Shopee’s online food delivery service - is now available in Penang.

       The latest expansion fortifies ShopeeFood's presence in major cities to expand its coverage area and enable more users to benefit from the service.

       ShopeeFood and ShopeePay Malaysia marketing head Cheok Tuan Ee said the company is thrilled to launch the service in Penang to offer value, variety and convenience to users.

       "Since ShopeeFood is integrated into the Shopee mobile app, users can easily use their ShopeePay mobile wallet for a seamless ordering experience.

       "ShopeeFood users will also be excited to know that we are offering a free deliveries promotion with no minimum spend in conjunction with our launch.

       "For ShopeeFood merchants, they can also access our database to reach new customers.

       "For smaller merchants, this will be helpful, especially as the country transitions back to normal economic activities and their physical restaurants can now be featured online to boost sales," he said at the launch in Coco Island food court.

       Through the service, users would enjoy a convenient and seamless food delivery experience from a range of local and international food via the mobile app.

       Merchants include renowned hawker stalls from key areas such as Penang, George Town, Ayer Itam, Gelugor, Tanjung Bungah, Bayan Lepas and Jelutong, serving local favourites such as Nasi Kandar Pelita, Mee Goreng Bos!, Penang Chendul, Pasembor and many others.

       Besides local fares, ShopeeFood is also excited to present an array of popular F&B partners.

       This includes brands such as McDonald’s, Hoshino Coffee, US Pizza and Haagen Dazs.

       In line with the food delivery launch in Penang, local users will be able to enjoy special promotions from now till June 20.

       Among offers are free deliveries, discounts up to 50% and flash sales up to 20%.

       Merchants participating in the super deals promotions are ZUS Coffee, Chatime, Boat Noodle and Yi Ke Shu.

       Upon checkout, users just need to select ShopeePay as the preferred payment method to claim vouchers for the deals.
