KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Southern Cable Group Bhd is slated to transfer to the Main Market of the local bourse on Oct 28, 2021.

       The company, which was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Securities Bhd on Oct 16, 2020, said it will now be classified under the Main Market’s Industrial Products and Services Sector and trade its entire share capital of 800 million shares under the stock name SCGBHD and stock code 0225.

       In a statement today, Southern Cable said the company is a registered supplier of cables and wires with Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Telekom Malaysia Bhd, Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd and Petroliam Nasional Bhd.

       "Major projects the group supplied to include Mass Rapid Transit, refinery and petrochemical plants,” it said, adding that it is also a key supplier to various industries including, among others, telecommunications, building and construction, and infrastructure.
