Princess Diana's brother Charles Spencer has announced the "immensely sad" news he is getting divorced.
Earl Spencer, who is uncle to Prince William and Prince Harry, revealed he has split from Karen Gordon, the Countess of Spencer, after 13 years together.
The former couple got married in June 2011 in the grouns of Althorp, which hold a special meaning for Charles as it's the burial place of his beloved sister Diana.
Canadian Gordon, 52, is founder and chief executive of Whole Child International, an LA-based charity that works to improve the lives of orphaned, abandoned and abused children.
Charles, 60, revealed the heartbreaking reason behind their divorce, which comes after he spoke out about the sickening physical and sexual abuse he suffered at boarding school in his memoir.

They have 12-year-old daughter together named Charlotte Diana, in tribute to the Earl's late sister.

He wrote about the "hellish experience" of being abused by an assistant matron at Maidwell Hall when he was a child in the 1970s.
Charles told The Sunday Times in 2020: “Karen and I both appreciate what the other does and look after what we have. Neither of us has found happiness like this before.”
