Boris Johnson is coming under fire from Sir Keir today for the first time since Labour steamed ahead in the polls. The opposition has taken a nine-point lead over the Conservatives, their largest since February 2014, according to the latest Opinium poll which placed Labour on 41 percent and the Tories on 32 percent. The Conservative's plunging popularity comes after a tough few weeks which has seen the party rocked by successive allegations of scandals, sleaze, and lockdown violations. The reversing of fortunes also comes as the Prime Minister reintroduces restrictions on public life to battle the rampant spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant. Sir Keir boomed at Mr Johnson that he was not trusted by his own MPs.
