PETALING JAYA: Malaysians can now check for cases of infectious diseases in their immediate area via a newly-introduced feature in the MySejahtera app, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
In a tweet yesterday, Khairy said the new “Infectious Disease Tracker” feature would show the number of active cases of infectious diseases such as Covid-19, dengue, rabies, measles, and hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), in the user’s vicinity.
The data can be found in the feature located on the MySejahtera home screen.
“I hope the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration was festive enough on the second day.
“Continue wearing face masks at enclosed and crowded areas.
“If you have symptoms, conduct a self-test and report using MySejahtera,” said Khairy.
He added that it was still mandatory to wear face masks indoors and when using public transportation, even though face masks are optional in outdoor areas as of May 1.
