GEORGE TOWN: The father of an 11-year-old girl who fell from a third-floor building in Langkawi recently has urged the public not to spread rumours and misinformation about his daughter's mishap.

       Clarifying what actually happened to his daughter in a three-minute-and-22-second long video, the man said there has been a lot of nonsense circulating around about the incident.

       "One of the many fake pieces of information floating around is that my daughter was seriously hurt in the fall but the truth is she is recuperating well," he said.

       On Wednesday (Feb 2), the girl sustained injuries after she fell from the third floor of a shop lot at Maha City.

       The victim was taken to Sultanah Maliha Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

       An initial medical check-up by the hospital found that the victim had suffered injuries to her hips, right thigh and nose, which had to be stitched.
