KLANG: A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman in a rented room in Taman Gembira here.

       South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong said the suspect was arrested at about 10pm on Tuesday (Jan 11).

       "During the incident, the 25-year-old victim, who was only clad in a towel, claimed that the suspect, who rented another room in the same house, had entered her room.

       "He then hugged her from the front but the victim shoved him away before escaping. She lodged a police report soon after," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 12).

       The suspect has been remanded until Saturday (Jan 15), he said, adding that the suspect has a criminal record.
