KOTA KINABALU: Sabah no longer has any more active Covid-19 clusters with the last Jalan Tambalang cluster in Tuaran ending on Friday (April 15).

The state Covid-19 spokesman said that Sabah continued to see an overall drop in cases with 101 new cases reported on Friday.

However, he said that community spread remained a threat as 58.4% of the new cases were reported.

"Overall the position has not changed much although the number of new infections has dropped by 21 cases compared to yesterday (Thursday)," he said in his daily briefing.

He said a total of 13 of the 27 districts recorded a decrease in the number of infections compared to seven districts, which recorded an increase in new cases.

There were no new cases of infections in the five districts - Kinabatangan, Sipitang, Pitas, Kalabakan and Kudat.

Three districts - Kota Kinabalu (33), Penampang (14) and Sandakan (10) were the only districts recording double digit.

A total of 19 districts recorded single-digit daily cases where eight of the districts recorded only one new case.

Of the 101 cases, 95 of the patients were placed under Category 1 and Category 2.

There were two cases respectively in Category 3, Category 4 and Category 5.
