Police record statements from more than 10 people over death of two teenagers in MPV

       KUALA LUMPUR: Police have recorded statements from more than 10 people in connection with the discovery of two bodies inside a Toyota Alphard MPV at a parking lot of a condominium in Cheras.

       Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said among those called up by the police were the victims' family members and friends.

       "So far, the case is classified as sudden death as we have not found any criminal elements," he told a press conference at the Cheras police headquarters on Tuesday (June 7).

       ACP Muhammad Idzam said they were still waiting for the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.

       "The post-mortem has been conducted but samples have been sent to the Chemistry Department for further analysis," he said.

       On May 29, the bodies of a man and a woman, both 19, were discovered inside a car in the parking lot in Bandar Sri Permaisuri.

       A member of the public discovered the bodies and alerted the authorities.

       The woman's body was found on the front seat while the man was in the back seat.

       Prior to the discovery, the two teenagers were reported missing by their family members.
