KUALA LUMPUR: Six people have been questioned by police in connection with the rally organised by the Coalition for Clean & Fair Election (Bersih) near Parliament last month.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said police will call up three more people to have their statements recorded this week.

"Once all statements have been recorded, we will refer the investigation paper to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action," he told reporters after attending the back-to-school aid programme at the KL police headquarters on Tuesday (March 5).

In the Feb 27 rally, Bersih called for the government to implement long-promised reforms.

Around 8.30am a group of protestors from Bersih assembled at a road leading up to Parliament.

A noticeable police presence was deployed to the ground, aiding in traffic as protestors began their picketing.

Multiple MPs from both sides of the political aisle came to greet the protestors.
