TYSON Fury's dentist faces jail after killing an OAP while speeding in his luxury Range Rover.

Naveed Patel, 32 - nicknamed 'the man with the golden smile' - was driving at 59 miles per hour in a 40mph limit when he smashed into grandfather David Eyre.

Mr Eyre, 76, was behind the wheel of his Mazda when he was hit by Patel's £89,000 three-litre car, which had its own personalised number plate.

The victim was rushed to hospital after the horror, but died two days later after succumbing to serious head injuries.

Cops probing the crash discovered Patel had been driving so quickly he was unable to stop when Mr Eyre pulled out of a side street.

Despite slamming on the brakes, he was still travelling just under 50mph at the moment of impact.

Patel has now been found guilty of causing death by careless driving at Minshull Crown Court in Manchester - and faces up to five years in prison.

The defendant runs a cosmetic dental surgery in Stockport.

He has posted a string of promotional videos of himself treating his most famous client, heavyweight boxer Fury - including one he shared with fans a year after the tragedy.

In the clip, Fury jokes: "I'm with the best dentist in the world and I want a smile just like his."

The dentist - who likes in a £600,000 home in Bolton - had blamed his victim for the crash, claiming he suffered a "medical episode" while at the wheel.

Retired sales manager Mr Eyre, who lived near Oldham, was on his way to the doctor's for a routine blood test when he suffered fatal injuries.

Prosecutor Rob Hall told the court: "Mr Patel's excessive speed and his failure to assess the risks inherent in that stretch of road amounted to careless driving.

"If he'd been driving within the speed limit, the collision could have been avoided, or it would have happened at a much reduced speed.

"Mr Patel placed the blame for the collision on Mr Eyre, but the fact is he was still travelling eight miles an hour above the speed limit when the collision occurred."

The defendant told jurors: "I'm extremely traumatised and heartbroken by it all.

"If I could somehow undo it all I would. I have to live with it. It's heartbreaking."

The victim's widow Joyce said her husband was still active and the couple had recently returned from a trip to Dubai to see their son.
