SIBU: A labourer who was a Category 3 Covid-19 patient died in a fall from the first floor ward of Hospital Sibu on Saturday (Dec 4).

       Acting Sibu OCPD Supt Collin Babat said the deceased was Lo Bun Song, 35, from Singkawang, Indonesia.

       "He succumbed to serious head injuries sustained when he landed in a concrete drain in the 9pm incident," he said.

       Supt Collin said the deceased, who was a labourer at a seafood processing factory, was admitted to the hospital with the coronavirus on Dec 1.

       The case has been classified as sudden death.
