KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd is organising Spark UsahaWIRA, a two-day virtual conference from Aug 24-25, 2021, to guide local business owners and those keen to kick-start their entrepreneurial journeys in expanding their businesses through digitalisation.

       In a statement today, Maxis chief enterprise business officer Paul McManus said the conference would feature renowned industry leaders, technology and national economy experts as well as successful Malaysian entrepreneurs who have successfully made the transition to digital.

       The list includes Najib Asaddok, chief executive officer of Momentum Internet; local celebrity Fatimah Rahmad Ali (Erma Fatima), the founder of Mak Cun, and Padzilah Enda Sulaiman, the founder of Telekung Siti Khadijah.

       "We are inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of innovation and creativity among the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that have overcome multiple challenges even in the most difficult situations,” he said.

       The virtual conference is an extension of Maxis’ UsahaWIRA programme launched in May, which aims to help SMEs and entrepreneurs' development by helping them fast-track business recovery and become future-ready through digitalisation. - Bernama
