McCann is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court today charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
The family were in their way back from a party for Smaller's birthday on August 9 when the horror unfolded on the M1 near Milton Keynes.
A third child was taken to hospital but McCann's other daughter, 13, was not travelling with the family at the time.
