       KUWAIT CITY, June 5: Saud Al-Dabbous, the Acting Director General of Kuwait Municipality, announced today a comprehensive initiative to address the issue of bachelors residing in residential areas. The municipality has identified over 1,150 houses being used as accommodations for singles across various neighborhoods.

       Al-Dabbous stated that a joint committee, consisting of government agencies, has launched an extensive inspection campaign in the Khaitan area to combat this phenomenon. The primary objective is to curtail the trend of individuals living alone in private and model housing. The inspection teams have been instructed to disconnect the electricity supply to properties found in violation of the regulations.

       The campaign is expected to span six months, during which the monitored houses will be thoroughly assessed and any new complaints addressed. To ensure legal compliance, the municipality has established a direct link with the Ministry of Justice, enabling real-time updates on the status of violations.

       Al-Dabbous highlighted the directives of Fahd Al-Shula, the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs, to tackle the issue of bachelors residing in private housing. The joint committee, in collaboration with the Ministries of Interior and Electricity, as well as the Public Authority for Manpower and the Public Authority for the Environment, has intensified its efforts to address this growing concern.

       The committee is actively enforcing measures such as cutting off electricity supply, removing violations, and issuing violation reports. The municipality also encourages citizens to report instances of single housing in residential and model areas, emphasizing the crucial role of social responsibility in maintaining the integrity of these neighborhoods.

       Furthermore, the municipality has established a direct channel with the Ministry of Justice to facilitate property inspections and obtain the most recent information on violation status, ensuring a lawful resolution of the issue at hand.
