Alongside him will be his wife Lady Victoria Starmer who, like Sir Keir, originally trained in law and it was through legal work that they met.
After working in law, Victoria moved into the health service and now works in occupational health for the NHS.
As the build-up to the vote on July 4 neared, there were questions over how much Victoria’s role would change if Sir Keir became Prime Minister.

However, Sir Keir said his wife would be staying in her current job. He said that she would “absolutely” continue in her job because she “wants to and she loves it”.
Furthermore, whilst the Labour leader has done hundreds of interviews, his wife has never done one, something Sir Keir told the Times would continue.
On the impact of his job on his partner, Sir Keir said: “I’m not going to pretend that it’s easy for her, because it isn’t. She wants to get on with her life.
“It is a massive intrusion when you have media outside the house. It is inhibiting on the whole family.”

In the past, Sir Keir has spoken both about how he and his wife met and how he feels about her. He told Piers Morgan in 2020: “I was doing a case in court and it all depended on whether the documents were accurate.
“I [asked my colleagues] who actually drew up these documents, they said a woman called Victoria, so I said let’s get her on the line.”

The Evening Standard reported that Lady Victoria’s first words about Sir Keir were “Who the f*** does he think he is?” in the early-2000s when they were working together at Doughty Street Chambers and she was asked to discuss some documents for a court case.
Fast forward and after nearly 20 years of marriage, Sir Keir said that their love becomes “stronger every day” and that “Love and Vic are two sides of the same coin”. He added: “It sounds naff, but we’re made for each other... She makes me complete, who I really am... And we laugh a lot. Usually about all sorts of daft things the kids say.”
