Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been revealed as rising stars of the Royal Family after a new poll revealed they’re more popular than ever.

King Charles's nieces, aged 35 and 34 respectively, were once shy teenagers who sometimes seems a little uncomfortable in the public glare.

But according to the new poll by HELLO! 60 percent of its readers consider them rising stars of the royal family.

The online poll reveals they more than half of its readers want to see the princesses take on more prominent roles within the royal family while 82 percent consider them great role models as working women, wives and mothers. Meanwhile 78 percent are in awe at their resilience.

Now confident women and mothers, they are happy to speak out on issues that are important to them and also support the people they love - including their mother Sarah, Duchess of York, who has been diagnosed with both breast and skin cancer over the past year.

They have also supported their father Prince Andrew, the Duke of York after he was forced to step down from royal duties.

Duchess Sarah said: "I couldn't be prouder of Beatrice and Eugenie and the strong, independent young women they have become - in fact, they are my proudest achievement," reports HELLO!

She added: "They both work for a living and have carved out successful careers but also dedicate a great deal of time to charity work.”

Sarah, also known as Fergie, added that her daughters are “beautifully mannered” with “kindness running through them” and “dedicated to duty in all ways.”

The sisters don't carry out official engagements as they are classed as non-working royals. They don’t receive money from the public purse.

However, in a long-standing effort to slim down the monarchy, King Charles’s decision reportedly left Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie “upset” after they had not been asked to carry out royal duties.

This comes as the reigning monarch, 75, and the Princess of Wales, 42, have taken a step back from working life as they undergo cancer treatment and recover from their illnesses.

In the first quarter of the year, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra have all been working on behalf of the monarchy, attending royal engagements and events to support the King.

A friend of the sisters previously told the Daily Beast: “It seems mean that the girls aren’t being used at all when they have made it clear they want to be of service, especially when Prince Andrew has been accepted back into the fold.

“They are very upset to have been ignored by the King as they feel they have a lot to offer, but ultimately not surprised. They are sanguine about it.”
