PETALING JAYA: Selangor recorded the most Covid-19 hospital admissions as a total of 1,804 Covid-19 patients nationwide were warded on Wednesday (Feb 23).
The number of admissions in Selangor stood at 251, followed by Sabah (239) and Johor (237).
The utilisation of intensive care unit (ICU) beds in four states and localities exceeded 50% capacity on Wednesday — Kelantan (83%), Kuala Lumpur (65%) and Johor (65%).
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham said ICUs nationwide were at 36% of total capacity of 838 beds.
A total of 191 patients required respiratory assistance, with ventilators being used at 36% of their maximum capacity.
There were 14 new clusters reported on Wednesday while 20,399 patients were discharged from hospital.
