KUALA LUMPUR: Kelington Group Bhd has secured a contract worth approximately RM49mil to undertake the bulk gas system distribution works for a global leading semiconductor manufacturer’s new fab in Singapore.

       In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kelington said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kelington Engineering (S) Pte Ltd secured the award from a global leader in engineering and project management of high-technology facilities without disclosing its client’s name.

       “The contract value is worth approximately RM49mil commencing immediately from September 2021 and expected to be completed by May 2023,” it said.

       Kelington said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021 (FY21) and FY22.

       Inclusive of this new contract win, Kelington has so far clinched approximately RM344mil of new orders in 2021 and boosted its current outstanding orderbook to RM482mil.
