KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has appointed Mohamad Zakkuan Talib as its certified integrity officer.

       In a statement today, MDEC said Mohamad Zakkuan will be responsible for leading and driving the implementation of the Integrity and Governance Department (IGD) as well as initiatives to curb any misconducts and violations of the code of conduct in the company.

       MDEC chairman, Datuk Wira Dr Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff said the appointment will enable MDEC to execute its digital mandate, serving the needs of the many and propagating a society integrated with technology, anchored by inclusivity and equitability in line with Malaysia 5.0.

       "Mohamad Zakkuan will also act as the liaison officer and drive an independent committee to assist the board of directors in ensuring zero-tolerance of corruption, fraud, malpractice and unethical conducts within the organisation,” he said.

       Prior to his appointment, Mohamad Zakkuan served as the head of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) department in Negeri Sembilan. - Bernama
