KOTA KINABALU: A new Covid-19 cluster has been identified in the state involving a secondary school hostel in Ranau district.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the Kemburongoh cluster’s case index was a student staying at the SMK Kemburongoh dormitory.
“The cluster involves students staying at the school hostel, the school warden and his family members.
“So far, 22 individuals have tested positive,” Masidi said in a statement yesterday.
Meanwhile, Sabah recorded 541 new infections, lower than 599 cases previously.
Masidi said Kota Kinabalu and Penampang recorded the highest cases with 93 and 60 infections respectively.
