PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has identified 27 new Covid-19 clusters, of which 12 are from workplaces.
At least 408 cases have been confirmed to be linked to the 12 workplace clusters.
This includes the Industri Lorong Bunga Tanjung Satu cluster in Seremban, which has 101 confirmed cases so far.
The cluster was uncovered from a targeted screening exercise conducted on workers of a factory at Taman Perindustrian Senawang.
Another one is the Industri Benus cluster in Bentong, Pahang which has 72 cases to date.
The outbreak involves workers of a factory located in Benus.
The index case of this cluster is a 38-year-old Indonesian man who tested positive on June 23, after developing symptoms on June 20.
The ministry also identified 13 new clusters, which are linked to outbreaks in the community.
These community clusters have contributed to 252 confirmed infections so far.
One of the community clusters is an outbreak discovered at Kampung Muhibbah Menggatal in Sabah, which is traced to house visiting activities by some individuals.
The index case is a 49-year-old man who tested positive on June 21 from a close contact screening.
So far 42 cases have been found after 277 people have been screened.
