On July 24, officers responded to a shooting around 1 p.m. in the 13300 block of Laurel Bowie Road, police said.
Officers found Riley with gunshot wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the suspect and Riley knew each other and the shooting was the result of a dispute.
The teen is awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County and was taken into custody in Oklahoma.
