PETALING JAYA: Police have refuted claims that a viral video of a shootout occurred at a clinic in Puchong.

       Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed (pic) said they traced the one-minute and 44-second video clip which had been circulated on social media.

       "The incident shows an attempted robbery inside a clinic where two suspects opened fire.

       "Our investigations revealed that the incident did not take place in Puchong.

       "Further investigations revealed the incident occurred in another country, ” he said in a statement on Tuesday (June 29).

       He urged the public not to jump to conclusions or be gullible.

       "We also urge the public to refrain from sharing or spreading any information which could not be verified.

       "Such acts could lead to panic and threaten public order," he said.
