PETALING JAYA: The government will increase enforcement and inspections on factories and business premises, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

       The Senior Minister said this is because there had been too many violations of government’s instructions and the standard operating procedures (SOPs).

       He said that from June 25 to July 1, a total of 132,633 business premises, factories and workers’ dormitories had been inspected.

       “During that period, 726 premises were issued compound notices while another 75 were ordered to close,” the Defence Minister said in a statement on Friday (July 2).
