RAWANG: Police are looking for the driver of a luxury car caught on dashcam footage driving dangerously and causing an accident here.

       Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said they detected a 48-second video of the incident at around 4pm Monday (May 30).

       "The video shows a black luxury car driving dangerously and overtaking other vehicles on the double line road along Jalan Batu Arang - Rawang.

       "The dangerous overtaking manoeuvre caused an accident after oncoming vehicles were forced to brake to avoid the car," he said in a statement Monday.

       He said police were now tracing the whereabouts of the driver of the car, as well as owner of the dashcam footage.

       "A police report has been lodged and we have classified the case under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act.

       "We urge anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward immediately," he said.
