Labour has wasted no time since taking office, with Sir Keir Starmer scrapping the Rwanda scheme, appointing his cabinet and speaking to world leaders, all in less than a week.
As well as this, the Prime Minister has lifted the ban of onshore wind development, a restriction which Chancellor Rachel Reeves dubbed "absurd".

The ban reversal comes as Labour pledges to boost energy independence and double onshore wind capacity in Britain by 2030.
A policy statement read: "Delivering our clean power mission will help boost Britain’s energy independence, save money on energy bills, support high-skilled jobs and tackle the climate crisis.
“We are therefore committed to doubling onshore wind energy by 2030. That means immediately removing the de facto ban on onshore wind in England in place since 2015. We are revising planning policy to place onshore wind on the same footing as other energy development in the National Planning Policy Framework.”

In 2015, David Cameron brought rules in which meant one planning objection could see any onshore wind plans scrapped. Mr Cameron said in 2014 people were "fed up" with onshore wind farms being built.
Then Lib Dem Energy Secretary Ed Davey said at the time: "Putting the brakes on onshore wind would be disastrous for business and jobs in our growing green economy."
The ban was something which Michael Gove pledged to reverse in September 2023, and while rules were relaxed, since Mr Gove's announcement there were no new planning applications submitted.
Labour then made reversing Mr Cameron's decision entirely a key point in their election campaign.
