A PRISONER who boasted about winning a whopping ￡74,000 after guards opened his mail could now lose it all.

       Edmund Bruton, 54, was locked up after he guzzled antifreeze and smashed his car into his ex-girlfriend's house.

       But when the lag was behind bars he managed to land the massive compensation payout after prison staff opened his private mail.

       Bruton bragged about the ￡74,000 and even wrote a 'how-to' guide for other crims - but that drew the attention of a woman he sexually harassed.

       And she is now chasing him for the ￡45,000 he never paid her after he was found to have pressured her into performing nude massages on him - and she wants interest, too.

       The mum-of-two worked for Bruton at his London beauty spa, until he sacked her when she said no to giving him another massage.

       In 2011 an employment tribunal found she had been sexually harassed and Bruton was told to pay her the compensation.

       But he never did.

       The 52-year-old woman told MailOnline: "When I read about him boasting about his compensation I was livid, I was absolutely furious.

       "To think somebody like that could do what they did and then think it's great they can sue the prison and win taxpayers' money left me spitting feathers.

       "How the hell can he get away with this when he owes all this money to me when I can't get a bean?"

       The woman worked for Amo Hair and Beauty in East Sheen in 2010 and gave Bruton four massages while he was totally nude.

       The final time she told him she wouldn't give him a massage unless he covered up - and he flew into a fit of rage and accused her of discriminating against him for being a naturist.

       He then sacked the woman three weeks later.

       She is now fighting for ￡60,000 - but it is understood Bruton is battling her back.

       Bruton was awarded the money at the High Court in April 2017 after His Honour Judge McKenna ruled that officers at three different prisons - HMP Swaleside, HMP Coldingley and HMP Onley - had opened legally privileged letters addressed to him.

       After the judgement Bruton said dozens of prisoners had been grilling him for advice, so he decided to help them.

       Inside prisoners' magazine Inside Time, the 54-year-old wrote: "I have had a lot of correspondence since winning a judicial review for the prison tampering with my mail and opening legal correspondence illegally.

       "A lot of people want to know how they can bring their own claims. Therefore, here is a bit of guidance:

       "If all prisoners brought their own claims for mail tampering it is highly likely that the MoJ and Prison Service would train their staff to stop acting unlawfully and wasting money from the public purse defending the indefensible."
