KUALA LUMPUR: Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) is leveraging on Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to streamline and automate its business processes.
Digi, which is part of the global telecommunications provider, Telenor Group, said on Monday it has been connecting Malaysians and businesses for the last 25 years and now it provides advanced 4G LTE services to 10.4 million customers.
“As part of its digital transformation strategy, Digi moved from Oracle eBusiness Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP.
“With Oracle Cloud ERP, the Digi finance team expects to reduce the time taken to complete its financial close by automating manual tasks and eliminating its reliance on manual spreadsheets,” Digi said.
Orcale Malaysia managing director Fitri Abdullah said Digi is deeply rooted in its belief that connectivity can improve lives, build societies and secure a better future for all.
“Managing business processes in the cloud gives Digi the ability to expand on this vision with optimized processes and data driven insights. With Oracle Cloud, Digi is not restricted by legacy technology systems and can plan towards continuous innovation,” he said.
Oracle Integration Cloud’s prebuilt integration flows and adapters help ensure that Oracle Cloud ERP is tightly integrated into Digi’s existing IT architecture.
This can help bring data from across its cloud and on-premises data sources – including from its own custom-built, internal applications managing kiosk sales and inventory management - together faster and easier.
Oracle Management Cloud can proactively monitor and provide end to end visibility on Oracle Cloud ERP’s performance and Oracle Cloud Access Security Broker can help add an extra level of security against fraud and misuse by leveraging real-time threat intelligence feeds and machine learning techniques to identify threats.
