People have been left stunned after a mum shared a hack for eating orange segments - without having to peel.

       It is important to ensure we eat plenty of fruit and vegetables every day, and snacking on citrus fruits like oranges, satsumas and tangeries and mandarins are great sources of vitamin C and antioxidants. Plus they are a great snack for the whole family to enjoy.

       One mum, Taylor, has wowed people after sharing that she does not peel her mandarins - which saves plenty of time, allows for easy eating and stops extra mess. On her Instagram page, @taytay_xx, the Canadian mum said: "As a toddler mom, this is the best thing I discovered lately since we’ve been going through a bag of these a day."

       She demonstrated how she simply chops a mandarin in half with a knife, before picking up one half of the fruit, pushing the outside of the skin. This trick reveals the segments of the fruit so you can just pull them out easily and ate them straight away.

       Taylor added: "Thank you internet for showing me how to easily peel small mandarins. I will be doing this from now on."

       People have been wowed by the revelation. "My brain exploded," commented one. "Game changing," said another.

       One other commented: "I just bought a bunch of oranges and was dreading having to peel them, thank you so much!" One other added: "Omg thank you! I still have bunch of those at home but too lazy to cut them, now I can try this!"

       "Got to try it next time," one other added. One other said: "I always did this, seemed cleaner and you got all of the actual fruit." "And no mess," pointed out one other.
