KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has reiterated his commitment that Barisan Nasional component parties will be included in the discussion on when the 15th General Election will be called.

       The Prime Minister also reiterated his commitment to discuss the matter with Umno's top five leaders and supreme council.

       "When the time is right, I will not delay the dissolution of Parliament, even for a second," he said at the Barisan Nasional convention on Wednesday (June 1).

       He also said that Barisan must have three working plans before heading into GE15 and to adopt a "first class work culture".

       "'First class work culture' can be translated as teamwork, discipline and loyalty to the party.

       "Barisan leaders and members are loyal in good and bad times and remain with us when challenges come.

       "Those present in the hall today have had their loyalty tested but they did not budge an inch despite facing threats, pressure and being enticed with offers," said Ismail Sabri.

       He also said Barisan needs to form a winning strategy for GE15.

       "This strategy must focus on strengthening the election machinery among component parties," he said.

       Ismail Sabri said Barisan pledged to win a two-thirds majority in GE15 to ensure continuity of the government agenda to help the rakyat and provide prosperity to all.

       Ismail Sabri also thanked component parties for their support for him as the "poster boy" and

       candidate for prime minister in the coming elections.

       "It is a heavy responsibility – not just for me but for all members of Barisan," he said.
