PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission will have a special meeting on Feb 9 to discuss the date of the Johor state election.EC secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak said the special meeting will be led by its chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh.

       “The EC chairman will discuss crucial dates regarding the Johor state election such as the election writ, nomination day, polling day and the electoral roll that will be used as well as other preparations for the state election.

       “A press conference will be held after the special meeting,” said Ikmalruddin in a press statement yesterday.

       The Johor state assembly was dissolved last Saturday.
