SHAH ALAM: If Malaysia is to survive, the nation's people must go back to the core values and not pander to racist agendas propagated by certain quarters, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister also said he will ensure the country belongs to all.

"I will not compromise and will make sure that this country is for all Malaysians," he added.

Anwar said this at the fifth International Convention organised by the Dr Ambedkar Welfare Association Malaysia.

The event also celebrated Ambedkar's 133rd birthday.

Anwar said he had accepted the invitation because he was familiar with Ambedkar's work and writings.

Indian jurist and social reformer Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was one of the architects of the Indian Constitution.
