PETALING JAYA: A paraglider died from his injuries after being found unconscious in a tree in Kuala Kubu Bharu on Saturday (April 23).

       When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said that the man was found 100m from the take-off point at Bukit Batu Pahat and a call for help was made to the department at 4.56pm Saturday.

       "The victim was found unconscious, bleeding and with a broken leg. Orang Asli living nearby climbed the tree to secure him using the paragliding webbing to prevent him from falling to the ground.

       "It took two hours to bring him down but the victim was pronounced dead by medical officers," he said.

       The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Pakistan national Mohammad Farhan Khalid.
