KUALA LUMPUR: Compound notices were issued to 72 patrons and three owners for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) following raids on three entertainment outlets here.
Kuala Lumpur Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azman Ayob said the raids were conducted late Monday (March 14) night.
"Each of them was issued with a RM1,000 compound notice.
"Entertainment outlets are still not allowed to operate as it is a violation of the Covid-19 SOP," he said in a statement Tuesday (March 15).
Since Jan 1, JPJKK have issued RM596,000 worth of compound notices to entertainment outlets' owners and patrons, he said.
"We advise the public to adhere to the Covid-19 SOPs to prevent the spread of the virus.
"We will step up such compliance operations," he added.
