KOTA KINABALU: Children playing with matches are believed to have caused a fire that burnt down a house in Keningau district.

       This was disclosed by the owner of the house who told fire investigators that her children had been playing with matches prior to the 10.55am incident at Taman Kota Keningau yesterday.

       Firemen at the scene said they believed the fire had started in the living room before it spread to other parts of the house.

       The victims managed to escape in time and no one was injured.
