Around 11 a.m., a woman was involved in an argument with someone in the 2100 block of North Kostner Avenue when he pulled out a handgun and fired shots, Chicago police said.
The 25-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was listed in good condition, police said.

The alleged gunman barricaded himself inside of the residence, where the SWAT team was called.
On 2:20 p.m., a Chicago police spokesman said that SWAT negotiators successfully convinced the surrender without incident.
“No injuries to officers, suspect, or three children in the residence,” spokesman Tom Ahern said in a tweet.
Authorities didn’t immediately say whether criminal charges were pending.
