A 73-year-old man was struck by a car and killed late Sunday in Northeast Washington, the D.C. police said.

       Gary Minor, of Northeast, was crossing the 3900 block of Benning Road a few minutes after 10 p.m. when he was struck, police said.

       He was not in a crosswalk when hit by the eastbound car, according to police.
