KOTA KINABALU: The deal for cooperation between the Federal Government and Opposition will help stop politicking and put focus on the needs of the people, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The Sabah Chief Minister said the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Transformation and Political Stability by the government and Pakatan Harapan would serve as a guide for all parties to work together to find ways to resolve the economic and health crises currently faced as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“On behalf of the Sabah government, we feel an MoU between the government and Pakatan is the best and most capable way in putting aside all political differences.
"It is important because it comes at a time when many Malaysians are struggling. By putting an end to too much politics, everyone can focus on efforts towards the economic recovery of the country through a holistic manner," he said in a statement Tuesday (Sept 14).
Hajiji said that it was also in line with the concept of the Malaysian Family introduced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
