       KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Anwar Al-Hamdan, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, has announced the transition to distance learning for students, educational staff, and administrative personnel in 124 schools designated as polling centers for the upcoming National Assembly elections on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, reports Al-Qabas daily. Meanwhile, traditional in-person studies will continue in the remaining schools under the Ministry of Education. In preparation for the parliamentary elections scheduled for April 4, 2024, Al-Hamdan emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to leveraging all necessary resources to ensure the provision of services before and after the voting process. This includes meeting the requirements to facilitate a successful democratic event in the country.

       The Ministry is working closely with relevant departments and specialized teams to prepare the designated schools, chosen by the Ministry of Interior as polling centers, for the electoral proceedings. Al-Hamdan clarified that this decision aligns with the Ministry’s dedication to maintaining the continuity and uninterrupted flow of education. Following the conclusion of the electoral process, the responsible authorities will undertake cleaning procedures in the schools to prepare them for the return of students. She commended the efforts of all Ministry personnel across various sectors for their contributions to the preparation and execution of the 2024 National Assembly elections, expressing optimism for a smooth and successful democratic event in the nation.
