A VARSITY student has recreated a likeness of Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin by planting 3,000 kisses on canvas, using a non-chemical paint.

Narasimman Ramachandran, 20, a third-year architecture student in Coimbatore city, has been interested in art and painting since a young age, Makkal Osai reported.

He used a non-chemical paint to plant 3,000 kisses over two-and-a-half hours on canvas to create the 4.8m x 2.5m portrait of the chief minister.

The portrait is currently being evaluated by the Indian Book of Records.

Narasimman previously painted the Thanjavur Periya Kovil temple and the late Indian president and scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam using his nose as a brush.

Stalin’s late father was five-time Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi.

Apparently, Karunanidhi had named his son after Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, who died shortly after the birth of the boy.
