KUALA LUMPUR: We are monitoring the updates on the arrested Putrajaya policemen and will take disciplinary action accordingly, says the city police chief.

       Referring to the Nov 10 arrests of three policemen for allegedly extorting and wrongfully confining a man, Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said that the investigation was currently being headed by Selangor police.

       “From our side we have suspended one of the three. We are monitoring the outcome of the investigation and if needed we will suspend the remaining two,” he said.

       On Nov 10 six individuals, including three civil servants, were detained for allegedly extorting and wrongfully confining a man.

       The civil servants have been identified from the Special Branch attached to the Putrajaya police headquarters.
